Four NISA Nation Clubs Enter Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Qualifying

LA MIRADA, CA (September 13, 2024) – NISA Nation is proud of its member clubs participating in the qualifying rounds for the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (USOC), beginning this weekend.

The four clubs that will take to the pitch in Qualifying Round One and/or Two are:

  • Las Vegas Legends FC (Las Vegas, Nev.) – The NISA Nation Southwest Region 2024 Spring Season was a NISA Nation Championship Finalist in 2023
  • Modesto City FC (Modesto, Calif.) – Inaugural member of the NISA Nation Pacific Region is attempting to qualify for the the first time
  • Roc City Boom (Rochester, N.Y.) – Inaugural NISA Nation Western N.Y. Region champion previously attempted to qualify in 2021, '22 and '23 
  • Soccer Academy Nevada (Las Vegas, Nev.) – The Nevada Premier League 2024 Spring Season champion was a finalist at the inaugural SWPL Finals in July 

"NISA Nation has the utmost respect for the clubs attempting to qualify for 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup qualifiers,” NISA Nation Director Matt Morse said. “Each of these four NISA Nation clubs have developed committed players who are true to their core values and want that experience and that pressure of playing in the U.S. Open Cup. It shows a tremendous amount of ambition and we wish each club and all their players the very best of luck."

In addition the NISA Nation entrants, 20 clubs from NISA Nation affiliate leagues are participating from the Eastern Premier Soccer League (13), the Southwest Premier League (4), the Mountain Premier League (2) and the Florida Gold Coast League (1).

The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the United States, dating to 1914.
