Week 12 Recap: Hasseb Babacarkhials Goal Moves Afghan Top

FREMONT, CA (June 3, 2024) - Hasseb Babacarkhial's goal moved Afghan Premier FC to the top of the table. 

Babacarkhial scored in the 19th minute, assisted by Nomialay Hashim, and Afghan Premier FC held on for a 1-0 victory over Battleborn FC in a NISA Nation Pacific Region match at Ohlone College on Sunday, June 2.

It's the third win in the last four matches for Afghan Premier FC (5-3-0 overall), which stays unbeaten and catapults past Bay Area United for the lead in the Pacific Region East lead.

On Saturday, Keefer Calkins scored three times in the first half to lead Gaffer City FC to a 5-4 win over Sahara Gunners FC at Corning, NY, Community College, and James Hone-Blanchett netted a brace as Capo FC beat Olympiacos CA 5-3 at Biola University in La Mirada, CA.

Also on Sunday, Parker Scalzo scored twice as Capo FC doubled its weekend fun with a 6-0 win over Irvine Zeta II at Biola University, the Domms Bros. combined for three goals as Roc City Boom beat FC Dutchmen Independence 4-1 at East Rochester, NY, High School, three goals were scored in the first 9 minutes as Binghampton FC beat United Elite Krajisnik FC 3-1 at Herkimer, NY, College, and two first-half goals were enough as Club Tepa beat ASC Silicon Valley 2-0 at South San Francisco High School.
